Credits: what you have, and what you're spending
Monthly and purchased credit buckets, member top-ups and auto-refill, and the past-usage note that appears on the buy screen when your burn rate is high.
Every account holds credits in two buckets. The numbers on the billing card say how much you have; the short prose beside them says what each bucket is.
Building as a guest
Your guest apps are listed in My Vibes in the same browser. Create a free account to open them on other devices. Keep using the same browser to return as a guest; clearing its storage removes the identity that remembers your apps.
The guest Account card shows your remaining building credits and the account option. Settings appears once you sign in.
The two buckets
- Monthly credits are included with every account and refill to the full grant on your subscription anniversary — the card names the date ("resets Aug 21"). Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
- Purchased credits are extras you've bought — they never expire.
When both buckets hold credits, the monthly grant is spent first.
Membership and top-ups
- Free plan: 5,000 credits a month. The only paid option is joining Vibes Plus.
- Vibes Plus ($5/month): 1,000 fresh credits every month, and members can buy more anytime — $5 for 500 credits that never expire. Top-ups are bought in $5 units, up to $100 per checkout.
- Auto-refill (optional, members): when your balance runs low, it automatically buys a preset amount — $5 by default, up to a monthly limit you choose ($25 by default). It helps you keep building; heads-up that a burst of big builds can still reach zero between refills.
- Card charges show up as "Fireproof Storage" on your statement.
- Managing or cancelling: Settings › Billing has Manage or cancel membership. It opens a secure billing page where you can change your card, see receipts, or cancel Vibes Plus anytime. After you cancel, your membership runs through the end of the month you paid for, and Billing shows that date with Keep or manage membership in case you change your mind.
Running low and running out
When your balance reaches a fifth of your monthly grant, the Edit panel says so in one quiet line, with the date your monthly credits refill and a link to get more ("30 credits left — they refill on Nov 18."). Settings › Billing shows the same line under your plan, and your Account card adds the refill date under your balance.
At zero, the Edit panel, the home page and Settings › Billing show the two ways forward as soon as you open them, before you type: keep building now with Vibes Plus (or more credits, for members), or pick up again on your refill date. You can still send; the next build step pauses with that same notice instead of spending ahead.
When an app's own AI button runs into an empty balance, the app's menu says so too. Visitors who aren't signed in see that the app's AI is resting until its credits refill.
A note about your current pace
Members buying credits sometimes see one extra line under the buy button:
used 1,400 credits in the last hour
That line describes what you already spent — your actual usage over the last hour — so you can pick a pack size against your current pace. It says nothing about how long a pack will last; that depends on what you build next.
It only appears when your pace is fast enough to matter for the choice at least a $5 pack's worth per hour. When you're spending slowly, or when the recent usage can't be read, the line stays out of the way and your balances still show as normal.
